Our Vision

TRANSFORMA Theatre Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Organization dedicated to creating interactive theatre experiences at the convergence of science, consciousness and ritual.

Transforma’s first piece was The Female Role Model Project, it uses EEG headsets live onstage to investigate contemporary gender structures from the perspective of four completely different female identifying devisers sharing their autobiographical stories through a series of interactive games. The Female Role Model Project was produced Off-Broadway in New York City’s premier hub for arts and technology — Three-Legged Dog (3LD) and at Bedlam Theatre, as part of the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 as well as at Biennial of Art and Technology at Ammerman Symposium. It received an Honorable mention in the Creativity category of Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas Awards and a nomination for the outstanding innovative design at New York Innovative Theatre Awards.

Transforma also created a Lucid Dream Theatre Experience. This is a fully immersive experience where the audience is led through a meditation and a guided nap. This event is intended to help the participants access inner visionary mindscapes and increase brain power to unlock creativity, promote self-discovery, and ignite manifestation. It was produced at The Assemblage Nomad, The Cell Theatre and Art Beat New York.

We’re currently producing: Science in Theatre Festival, a three-day festival, where we present three new science-themed plays and new technologies at The Cell Theatre in Chelsea, New York.

We like to dive deep in the space where science, human experience and social issues converge enveloping the audience in an immersive, experiential, interactive experiment, which challenges status quo and opens up new perspectives.
